Kaolin
Kaolin is the name given to a group of clay minerals in the classification of clay minerals. Kaolinite (Al2Si2O5 (OH) 4) is a clay mineral with aluminum hydrosilicate composition.Kaolen (Al2O3. It is an industrial raw material. It is generally earthy, white, greenish or yellowish in color. 46.54% of the theoretical chemical composition is SiO2, 39.50% Al2O3 and 13.96% H2O. In Europe, especially in the paper industry, it uses calcite together with kaolin for filling purposes. There is a similar situation in coated paper, especially in coated paper, the advantage and superiority of kaolin in terms of quality is observed. 79% of the kaolin produced in our country is consumed in coarse ceramic and glass, and the remaining 15% in the cement sector. The biggest consumption of kaolin outside the ceramic industry is its use as a filler in the paint, rubber and plastic industry.
